比較的容易な語彙を用いた文章の概要や要点を正確に理解したり、自然な速さの平易な内容の英語を聞いて、重要な情報を理解したりする力を身につける。また、日常的な話題について平易な英語で表現する力を身につける。

＜授業の方法＞
These classes will focus on listening and reading for the first half, and then move onto the productive skills of speaking and writing. You will listen to English conversations and read about everyday situations. This will be followed by practice in holding basic conversations and writing about the topics covered. Classes will be conducted in a hybrid style with some in the classroom and some assignments on Moodle.

This course should help to improve your confidence in using English. The more you listen and read, the more you should be able to successfully speak and write. I hope you will find this course both motivating and fun. 国際化推進センターによる、「総合英語課外学習」に参加し、学習に取り組むことで最高で20点まで加えられる。なお、課外学習は10週にわたりオンラインで開催され、指定された曜日の18時10分から19時10分まで行われる。詳細は第1回目の授業で説明するが、国際化推進センターから後日通知のあるCNS掲示も確認すること。
