<授業の目的>
We hope to give students an opportunity to both reflect on their own cultures and gain an understanding of other cultures through interaction with classmates. Through this interaction, students will recognise the limits of their own cultural frames and will be exposed to diverse systems of value and logic.

<授業の方法>
1.Lecturers of diverse majors will give the classes in turn.
2.Students are expected to participate fully in both group discussion and the final group project presentation.
3.Some classes are provided online, and some are face-to-face, depending on the unit. The details will be announced in guidance or on the CNS bulletin board prior to each unit or class. Be sure to check them.

【授業、Unitごとの課題について】 Assignments for each class and unit
1.それぞれの担当Unitでの課題の量を考慮する /We will take into account the amount of assignments in each Unit.
2.課題について理解されているかの確認を行い、要望があれば日本語での説明も加える /We will check that subject matter is understood and if requested, add explanations in Japanese.
3.話し合いやすいテーマかの確認を行う We will check that the themes are easy to discuss.

【各Unitでのグループ・ディスカッション】 Group discussion in each Unit
1.ディスカッションが円滑に進むよう、そのユニットでの進行役を教員が定めるなどのサポートを行う /In order to ensure that the group discussion proceeds smoothly, we will provide support, such as appointing a facilitator for the disucussions.
2.日本人学生も留学生も積極的にディスカッションに参加できる環境づくりを行う /We will create an environment in which both Japanese and international students can actively participate in the discussions.
3.話し合いの結果をグループ代表からのみならず、個人からも発表してもらう工夫を行う /We will devise ways to have the results of discussions presented not only by group leaders, but also by individual students.

【グループ・プロジェクト発表】Group project presentations
1.プロジェクト発表についての説明と指示を少し早い段階で明確に行い、準備時間の確保を授業時間でもできるよう検討する /We will explain and give clear instructions on group projects at an early stage, and consider setting preparation time during class time.
2.リーダーは早い段階で決めるように促すか、教員のほうからリーダーを指名し、準備に早く取り掛かる態勢を整える /We will encourage students to decide on a leader at an early stage or appoint a leader from our side, so that preparation can start smoothly.
