[概要と目標] | ||||||||||||||||||||||
In a world of globalisation and multiculturalism, communication becomes the vehicle that truly brings people together. This course will provide students with an understanding of international and intercultural communications to engage better with their global engineering colleagues. This course will be delivered online by means of interactive lectures with student presentations and student-led discussions in English. The weekly interactive lectures will introduce the key topics for discussion and provide the context for theoretical models and key terms of study. |

Upon completion of this course students should be able to: 1. Identify elements of culture that impact interpersonal communication; 2. Identify the challenges of being a competent communicator in intercultural settings; 3. Develop and use the appropriate communication skills in intercultural. settings; 4. Consider various types of corporate culture and intercultural conflicts in the engineering workplace. |
