<授業の目的および概要>
In this course, students will be introduced to the basic principles of academic essay writing. For each topic, students will study six short essays to identify key vocabulary, transition devices, and sentence structures before using the new language to write a composition of their own.

1. Understand the basic principles of academic essay writing
2. Write simple academic essays
<授業の方法>
All 15 weeks of lessons and exams will be conducted online via Moodle. You will need a computer and Internet connection to successfully complete and submit your assignments and exams.

Even though the entire class will be conducted online, you will receive weekly feedback on your assignments and tests. I will also be available for face-to-face consultation/feedback in my office (Y304)--by appointment.
