＜授業の目的＞
In this course, students will increase proficiency in (1) academic listening, (2) note-taking, and (3) speaking through a broad range of topics. In addition, students will independently learn approximately 3,000 words from the (4) New General Service List. Communication among students is paramount.

• To learn and practice asking questions, thinking critically, group discussion • To learn effective notetaking techniques • To discuss and answer questions related to the lecture accurately and fluently • To expand vocabulary through independent study • To increase confidence when communicating in English
＜授業の方法＞
Activities will include reading articles and short stories, communicating with other students in order to arrive at a better understanding of the given material and providing written summaries and results of discussions regarding the basic meanings and underlying meanings of each reading.

No 評価項目 割合 評価の観点 1 小テスト／レポート  55  % quizzes will be given after each unit  2 発表／表現等  45  % in-class activities will be submitted
