This course will focus on improving the students' listening ability on various topics. Some topics will be advertising, extreme sports, storytelling, language, culture, humor and marriage.
＜授業の方法＞
Each class will begin with a discussion based on the theme for that unit. Then new vocabulary will be presented before progressing to task based listening exercises (main idea and details). The lecture will end with a speaking activity.

＜授業計画の概要＞
Attendance is the most important part of this class. Students who miss more than three classes in a semester will not be allowed to take the final exam and thus fail the class. Students who arrive later than ten minutes after the beginning of class will be counted absent, and not be allowed to enter the class. The door will be locked.
