| ＜授業の目的および概要＞ | |||
| The purpose of this class will be to encourage students to state their own opinions on the subjects taken up in the text and also current topics of interest. Two texts will be used. One will be a listening oriented text using popular songs and focusing on pronunciation. The student will learn to get used to the liaisons used in conversation while enjoying the music. | |||
| ＜授業の方法＞ | |||
| The classes will be conducted following the textbook. Current topics from newspapers will be taken up and the student will be asked to write a report on the topic taken up. | |||
| ＜成績評価の方法＞ | |||
| Participation in the class will be a must. A final examination will be given which will be 50% of the grade. The remaining 50% will be made up of the participation and the reports. | |||

| The students will be asked to speak up in class. They will be called on constantly and be expected to answer in English. | |||
