＜授業の方法＞
All 15 weeks of lessons and presentations will be conducted face-to-face and/or online as appropriate. There are 5 topics to study for the semester. Each topic will be covered over three class days. On the first class day, students will practice speaking on the topic using a prescribed structure; on the second class day, students will discuss the topic independently; and on the third class day, students will make a presentation on the topic. All class material will be provided by the teacher on a weekly basis via Moodle. Students should be prepared to listen and speak English in each and every class. Students should use class time well by participating positively and enthusiastically in the lessons. This means working with other students in pairs and groups. They should also prepare and review lessons thoroughly and be prepared for a quiz and presentation on each topic. Since this is a communication class, there are no written mid-term and final exams.

PLEASE NOTE: -This class will be taught in English, and students will be expected to use English in the class and online communication. -Students should be prepared to bring a laptop/tablet computer for each class. -All assignments and essays will be submitted via Moodle for grading and feedback. -For consultation/feedback outside class time, the teacher is available in his office (Y-304) on Tuesdays, period 3. -国際化推進センターのG-フィロスにおける英会話練習で、最高で10点まで加えられる。詳細は第1回目の授業で説明する。

In addition to the teacher’s evaluation and feedback, students will receive guided and systematic peer reviews for each of the five presentations they are required to prepare and present.
