＜授業の目的＞
This course aims to familiarize students with English for use in technical areas and encourage them to combine their knowledge of English with the technical and scientific knowledge.
This class helps:
1) to understand professionals, experts and students talking about their work and study,
2) to communicate and explain engineering topics.
Moreover, this course uses the E-learning software, ALC NetAcademy NEXT, to improve student's technical writing and reading skills.
※本科目に続き「技術英語II」が開講される．この科目履修の前提として本科目の単位を取得することが望ましい．

＜授業の方法＞
The lecture method depends on the corona infection situation.
1) The lecture is planned to be conducted by face-to-face, with students seated at intervals, because this class emphasizes English communication. However, we may shift to remote lectures depending on the infection situation.
2) The lecture will be given according to the textbook, so students should purchase the textbook and bring it with them.
3) Mini-test will be subjected on the Moodle to check your understanding of each lecture. For details on how to submit the mini-test, please refer to the lecture topics on the Moodle. The results of the mini-test will be evaluated as a class activity.
4) Details of the E-learning units to be worked on will be announced on the CNS.
＜受講に際して・学生へのメッセージ＞
1) The evaluation criteria may be different between face-to-face lectures and remote lectures. If the evaluation criteria is changed, it will be announced in the lecture or on the CNS.
2) The specified textbook, Tech talk Pre-intermediate student's book, is the same as that used in ”コミュニケーション (TME303)” in the first semester. If you have bought it, don't need buy another one.
3) Be sure to check the CNS frequently for information on lectures. Any disadvantage caused by not checking the CNS may not be considered. If you are sick or have some problems with the Internet, please let me know.
4) The Office hour will be Monday, 5th period. If you have any question, it is recommend to ask it at the end of face-to-face lectures or by using the CNS.
