＜授業の目的および概要＞
|
|
英米文学にかかわる批評文を解析しながら読むことができ、また読んだものについての議論を英語で展開することができる。
|

＜到達目標＞
|
|
本年度は文学批評の先駆けとなったMatthew Arnold, Essays in Criticismから２つエッセイを読み、それぞれについての議論を英語で深める。
|
|
＜授業の方法＞
|
|
受講者は毎回進む予定の箇所を各自精読してくることが前提であり、授業では担当箇所を決め、丹念に詩行を読み解いてゆく。またその途次質問疑問等を適宜発し理解を深める。
