<授業の目的および概要>
This course will be devoted to composition writing. Students will study and practice how to organize and present their ideas. They will also learn how to write drafts and edit their own work. The process from developing ideas, drawing up outlines and working towards a final composition will be taught.
<到達目標>
The goal is for students to acquire the confidence to generate ideas for topics for compositions based on their own experience of the world around them, organize those ideas logically and meaningfully and write clear, interesting compositions in English.
<授業の方法>
In class a textbook will be used which will teach students brainstorming activities that will introduce them to ideas for a topic for compositions. The students will then be shown how to select suitable ideas and edit them to produce a clear, logically formulated piece of written work. The textbook also deals with points of style, vocabulary, grammar, etc. necessary for producing well-written compositions.

Emphasis will be placed on students' selecting, developing and presenting their own ideas.<BR>Students should use class time well by participating positively and enthusiastically in the lesson. They should arrive at class in good time. They should prepare and review lessons thoroughly.
