| The purpose of this lecture is to identify basic concepts of 'River Basin Management and Planning' and to introduce the methodological approaches for analyzing and evaluating its natural, biological and socio-environmental impact. At first, a conceptual framework for River Basin Management and Planning is discussed. Then, effective methodological approaches for evaluation of a river basin are introduced. Finally, some typical examples of the basin management such as flood and sediment control, city and community planning and natural environment in the Fuji River basin are presented. | ||||||||||||||||||
