In this course, students will study the basic structure of the English sentence and paragraph. Students will learn the components that make up a sentence and a paragraph and through an understanding of how sentences and paragraphs are formed will create original writing of their own. There will also be an emphasis on reading comprehension. By the end of this course, students should be familiar with the four major reading skills and know when and how to use them under the appropriate context.
Students will learn strategies to help them develop and improve their English reading skills.
Students will learn the fundamentals of an English essay--the paragraph. By the end of the semester, students should be able to confidently write an English paragraph in correct format, structure, and style.
