＜対象学生＞
教育人間科学部国際文化コース、共生社会コース1年生必修。
＜授業の目的および概要＞
The aim of this course is to build up students' confidence about speaking English and improve their overall English ability through intensive study involving the four major skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
＜到達目標＞
The goal of this course is for students to improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in English. It is hoped that students will be able to overcome fears and inhibitions about speaking English and express themselves effectively and confidently in a variety of everyday situations.
＜授業の方法＞
First the students will have an opportunity to ask the teacher questions about the class. The students will then interview a classmate and briefly introduce that classmate to the other students. Various activities involving the four skills will then take place in the form of whole-class games or exercises, individual exercises, pair work or work in small groups on particular themes all aimed at expanding vocabulary and improving listening and speaking. Use will be made of games, pop songs, videos, etc. A variety of fun activities will be carried out at a lively pace.
