[概要と目標] | ||||||||||||||||||||||
[Meso-scale meteorological model]
In order to consider the global hydrological circulation, the process
of transportation of mass and energy of atmosphere and process of
precipitation are lectured. Moreover, the way of using meso-scale
meteorological model and its application is lectured. At first the
basic atmospheric phenomena such as momentum equation, continuity
equation and thermodynamic equation are lectured. Then microphysical
process that describe the generation, development and dissipation of
precipitation . Finally, how to use the meso scale meteorological
model and its application, how to use the result of regional scale
model and its application is studied.

[Basin scale Hydrological modeling]
The objectives of "hydrological modeling part" are:
- To understand the basic therory of water/energy flux between
land surface and atmosphere
- To develop the computational skills of distributed hydrological model
- To expand the handling and analysis skills of RS/GIS data for hydrological modeling.
[到達目標] | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Understanding about numerical weather forecasting model and the
equations are expected. Skills to analyze the result of numerical
weather forecasting model are achieved.

Understanding the 1) basic theory of land surface hydrological processes,
2) concept of distributed hydrological model and 3) utilization of RS & GIS
data on hydrological modeling are expected.
[専攻の目標と講義の目標との関連性] | ||||||||||||||||||||||
The assesment and prediction of natural environment on basin scale
is important task for integrated river basin management.
The meteorological/hydrological model is one of the most
useful tools for predicting the large scale water cycle.
This lecture provides basic knowledge and skills of
hydro-meteorlogical simulation.
[必要知識・準備] | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Knowledge of hydraulics and hydrology is needed.
