＜対象学生＞
教育人間科学部国際文化コース、共生社会コース1年生必修。
＜授業の目的および概要＞
The aim of this class is to improve the students’ English ability through intensive study involving the four major skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
＜到達目標＞
The goal is for students to improve their English ability and overcome fears and inhibitions about speaking English, enabling them to express themselves effectively and with confidence in a variety of situations.
＜授業の方法＞
First the students will have an opportunity to ask the teacher questions about the class. The students will then interview a classmate and introduce that classmate to the other students. Various activities involving the four skills will then take place in the form of whole-class games and exercises, individual exercises, pair work or work in small groups on particular themes all aimed at expanding vocabulary and improving listening and speaking. Use will also be made of pop songs, videos, etc. A variety of fun activities will be carried out at a lively pace.
