＜授業の目的および概要＞
The aim of this course is discover more about European, in particular British, culture and society, about the way European people live their lives and how all of this relates to Japanese culture.
＜到達目標＞
The goal is for students to be able to understand and relate more easily to differences in cultural heritage and background, enabling them to have a deeper knowledge of their own culture and how it is connected with foreign culture and the world in general, so promoting internationalization.
＜授業の方法＞
The course will give an overview of European, in particular British, culture and society by studying a variety of texts concerning European history, geography, education, health and social issues, eating and leisure habits, etc. In the class use will also be made of proverbs, poetry, traditional folk songs and modern pop songs, films and TV programmes to achieve a better understanding of European culture.
