＜授業の目的および概要＞
The aim of this course is to challenge students’ creativity by teaching them how to generate topics, organize their ideas on those topics and produce creative, well-written compositions in English using their knowledge of the world around them, their cultural backgrounds and their personal experiences.
＜到達目標＞
The goal is for students to acquire the confidence to generate ideas for topics for compositions based on their own experience of the world around them, organize those ideas logically and meaningfully and produce clear, interesting written work in English.
＜授業の方法＞
In class a textbook will be used which will teach students brainstorming activities that will introduce them to ideas for a topic for composition. The students will then be shown how to edit those ideas and select the ones suitable for producing a clear, logically formulated piece of written work. The textbook also deals with points of style, vocabulary, syntax, etc. necessary for producing well-written compositions.

Additional teaching materials will be supplied by the teacher dealing with grammar, vocabulary, etc. Students should use class time well by participating positively in the lesson. They should arrive at class in good time. They should prepare and review lessons thoroughly. If all the work done in class is carefully reviewed, the final examination will be no problem.
