＜対象学生＞
9月29日の留学生向け日本語プレイスメント・テスト結果で、初中級レベルと判断された留学生 All students who wish to attend the course must take the Placement Test in Japanese on the 29th of September.
＜授業の目的および概要＞
授業の目的 １．日常生活や大学生活で、具体的な話題について、コミュニケーションができる。 ２．特定のテーマについて、作文が書けるようになる。 ３. 新聞や短い論説文が読めるようになる。 Upon successful completion of the course, students will: １．become able to communicate about concrete topics on a daily level; ２．become able to write compositions about certain themes. ３．become able to read newspaper articles and short papers.
＜授業の方法＞
初級文法や語彙，表現の整理をし、正確さを身につけることに重点をおきながら、効果的なコミュニケーションのための読む練習と書く練習を中心に行います。 Basic grammar, vocabulary, and expressions will be reviewed. With special emphasis on accuracy development, reading and writing exercises will be carried out for effective communication.
＜成績評価の方法＞
出席と授業への参加度　20％　宿題　20％　小テスト20％　期末試験 40％　　 2/3以上の出席が，単位取得の不可欠条件となります。 Final evaluation will be given for： 1.　Attendance and class participation 20%; 2.　Homework 20%; 3.　Small tests 20%; 4.　A final test 40%. Students are required to attend more than 2/3 of the classes to obtain credits from this course.
