＜授業の目的および概要＞
Reading and writing about medical topics will be the main focus of this course. We will cover illnesses such as alcoholism and depression based on actual information leaflets. Current newspaper articles covering recent health issues will be read and discussed in class.
＜授業の方法＞
Each class will begin with the reading of the day's article or information leaflet. Through discussion of the subject, students will learn to summarize and re-write the article. The class will be given in English, and so students will be encouraged to use newly learned expressions in both conversation and writing.

As the class will be given in English, students are expected to use English as much as possible. Attendance is very important and students who miss more than three classes will not be able to take the final exam.
