＜授業の目的および概要＞
This course will focus on improving the students' ability to read and comprehend English. Vocabulary and summarization will also be covered.
＜授業の方法＞
Students will be provided with new reading material each week. These materials will be taken from newspapers, magazines, books and medical journals. Students are expected to read the material, create vocabulary lists and produce a written summary by the next class. There will also be a discussion of the material in class.
＜成績評価の方法＞
Students will receive points for each of the summaries and vocabulary lists created from the readings. They will also receive points based on the discussions in class.

Attendance is very important. Two absences for cause will be allowed. Students must contact the teacher when they are absent. Being late for class three times will equal one absence.
